Nature waits. Humanity runs. The Earth holds its breath.

Floridaland is a documentary-style experimental film exploring the balance between nature & humanity — a dance of peace and chaos.

The Story

Floridaland began as a backyard film experiment — a quiet effort to capture the beauty of Florida’s natural world, one scene at a time. But after the director’s first viewing of Koyaanisqatsi, the vision shifted. This wasn’t just a story about nature. It was about humanity’s place within it.

The film evolved into a meditation on balance: the dance between development and wilderness, chaos and calm, growth and preservation. That balance, however, is never simple. Through striking imagery and rhythm, Floridaland explores the tension between cultural celebration and environmental overrun — from joyful gatherings to the unchecked sprawl of overdevelopment.

What began as a small personal project has grown into an ambitious cinematic journey years in the making — and now, its finish line is finally in sight.
